ZDF-Fernsehgarten Cancels August 3rd Show for Sports Coverage
The popular German variety show, ZDF-Fernsehgarten, has announced that its scheduled broadcast on August 3rd, 2025, will not air. Instead, viewers can look forward to coverage of "Die Finals 2025," a major sports event [1].
This cancellation follows an earlier disruption on July 27th, when severe weather forced an evacuation of the show [1]. The ZDF-Fernsehgarten team, led by host Andrea Kiewel, managed to improvise with her guests after the evacuation last week.
The upcoming themed shows for August include "Schlager Party" on the 10th, "Miami Vibes" on the 17th, "Discofox" on the 24th, and "Time Travel" on the 31st.
Despite the cancellation on August 3rd, the ZDF-Fernsehgarten is still set to air numerous championship titles in various sports during the broadcast. The show, which has been running since 1986, will continue to award these titles until the end of September, with seven episodes still left.
The 25th anniversary of the ZDF-Fernsehgarten for Andrea Kiewel is also approaching, marking her long-standing tenure as the show's host. The themed show scheduled for September 7th is "Rock in the Garden," and on the 21st, viewers can enjoy "Let the Choirs Sing."
However, another cancellation is planned for September 14th. Last Sunday's show, themed "Oktoberfest," was disrupted by a storm, featuring party Schlager stars. The Mallorca edition of the ZDF-Fernsehgarden, scheduled for theme "Mallorca meets Minigolf," was also disrupted by a storm last Sunday.
