Television actress Michelle Keegan takes on a new role as a detective in the upcoming ITV show, "The Blame."

The British television landscape is set to be shaken up with the arrival of ITV's latest crime drama, "The Blame." This six-part drama, produced by Quay Street Productions, promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with its intricate plot and compelling investigation.

At the helm of this gripping story is DI Emma Crane, played by the talented Michelle Keegan. Her partner in the investigation is DI Tom Radley, portrayed by Douglas Booth. The dynamic duo, under the watchful eye of DCI Kenneth Walker, played by Ian Hart, will lead the investigation into the death of a teenage figure skater, Sophie Madsen, in the town of Wakestead.

The cast also includes Nathan Mensah as DC Lewis, Nigel Boyle as digital forensic technician Brett Shergill, Joe Armstrong as ice-skating coach Kyle Frasier, Matilda Freeman as Sophie Madsen, Gavin Spokes as DC Joel Stevens, Josh Bolt as DC Douglas James, and Ceallach Spellman as PC Callum Drummond.

"The Blame" tackles themes of police corruption, exploitation, and misogyny as it unravels the lies and corruption beneath the surface of the community. The story is expected to resonate deeply with audiences, given its relevance in today's society.

ITV's Director of Drama, Polly Hill, has praised the series, describing it as a "brilliant new crime thriller with surprising twists." She goes on to say that the show is "a compelling investigation that will keep viewers hooked from start to finish."

Lead writer and executive producer Megan Gallagher expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to bring Charlotte Langley's world and characters to life on screen. Gallagher is known for her wonderful and clever writing style, and her work on "The Blame" is no exception.
