Televised Offenbacher Fastnacht: Simon Isser joins the council of "Hessen Laughs its Way through Barrel Night"

The 55th anniversary edition of "Hessen Lacht at Fasnacht," a beloved tradition marking the Fasnacht carnival in Hessen, was celebrated in style last week. The event, which will be broadcast on Thursday, February 20, at 8:15 PM on hr television, attracted a distinguished audience, including notable figures such as Prince Marcus I and Princess Karin IV of Lederhansia, Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke of Offenbach, and Simon Isser, a key figure associated with the event.

Simon Isser, chairman of the Offenbach Carnival Association (OKV), is a committed advocate for Offenbach's Fasnacht. This year, he joins the Elferrat, a group consisting of chairpersons of Hessian Fasnacht associations, for the TV session. The Elferrat is made up of six men and four women, reflecting the diverse leadership of Hessian Fasnacht associations.

The show, which remains true to its classic Fasnacht format, featured Hessian actors and ensured a lively atmosphere. The Offenbach audience provided strong support for the Fasnacht, with many in attendance dressed in costumes and cheering enthusiastically. Notably, Mayor Dr. Schwenke was spotted in the audience wearing an OFC jersey, showing his support for the local team.
