Teenager Severely Injured in Bergheim Motorcycle Accident
A 17-year-old boy was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in Bergheim-Oberaußem on Thursday evening. The teenager, who was not licensed to drive a motorcycle, attempted to overtake a car on the state road (L) 93 and lost control of his vehicle, resulting in a fall into a nearby field.
The incident occurred at around 19:40. After the accident, the injured teenager was promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment. Following his medical care, he was questioned by police regarding the incident. Despite extensive searches, the owner of the car involved in the accident has not been identified. The teenager's attempt to overtake the car was the primary cause of the accident.
The teenager's serious injuries and the lack of a valid motorcycle license highlight the importance of safe driving practices and proper licensing. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, with the search for the car's owner ongoing.
