Teenager Sarah Grace Patrick from Carrollton is facing murder charges for allegedly taking the lives of her mother and stepfather. During a court hearing, a decision was made to not grant her bond.
In the small town of Carrollton, a shocking crime has left the community in disbelief. Sarah Grace Patrick, a 17-year-old girl, is accused of murdering her mother and stepfather, Kristin and James Brock, in February of this year.
Sarah was residing with the couple at the time of the murders. The victims were found shot to death inside their home on February 20, 2025, with no immediate evidence of forced entry, although one door was left ajar.
Authorities charged Sarah following a thorough investigation and the discovery of "mountains of evidence" connected to her digital footprint. Despite her grandfather's public claim that there is no physical evidence directly linking her to the murders, the police stand firm on their charges.
Sarah turned herself in on July 8 following the issuance of an arrest warrant and is currently facing two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
A hearing was held on Tuesday, where Sarah was denied bond. Judge Dustin Hightower stated that he believes those closest to Sarah have concerns about her ability to escape while on bond and continuing to be a threat to them and the community.
One TikTok creator, with around 120,000 followers, was contacted by Sarah. Kellie Brown, the creator of a true crime page named "Allegedly Reportedly," was asked by Sarah to speak on her behalf about the night of February 20, 2025. However, Kellie chose to share this information on her TikTok account instead.
During their conversations, Sarah asked Kellie to help cover the case. Kellie, understandably, questioned why she was asked to cover a case where she is accused of taking her parents' lives.
The trial is scheduled for early 2026. The victims' family members have expressed fear for their safety should Sarah be released, adding an emotional layer to an already tragic situation.
In support of Sarah, a number of her friends and church attendees, some wearing "I Stand with Sarah" t-shirts, appeared at the hearing. James Brock's son was among those who opposed Patrick's bond.
As the case unfolds, the community of Carrollton awaits the outcome, hoping for justice for the Brock family.
