Teenager from Sweden under scrutiny for bombings at Israeli embassies in Copenhagen and Stockholm
Informal take on the unnamed teen's questionable escapades:
Yo, ‘sup! Turns out this young bloke from Sweden, 17 years old, is caught up in a messy situation with the law. He's alleged to have lobbed some dirty devices near Israel's embassy in Copenhagen—yeah, you guessed it, hand grenades. The crazy part? He's also got his paws in a shooting incident at the Swedish capital's Israeli embassy back in October last year!
The skinny on all this deets came out during a court session in Copenhagen this week. Seems like the authorities in Denmark were on the hunt for this kid and just got the green light to bring him over from Sweden. Guess he's been chilling in the clink since October for this suspected terror-related activity.
He wasn't alone in the embassy incident in Copenhagen—a 20-year-old buddy from Sweden was there too. They carried out the attack around 3:20am on October 2nd last year, but earlier that evening, there was a shooting at the embassy in Stockholm.
Prosecutors in Denmark believe the youngun' might've committed some other wacky crimes as well. He's a suspect for having weapons and passing guns to another person on the same day as the Stockholm shooting, and he's also been tied to a murder case in the Swedish town of Hallstahammar on September 19th last year.
Looks like Swedish authorities want him back too, to give him a taste of their legal system. Senior Prosecutor Cecilia Holmbom said she's made a request for the kid to be nabbed by Denmark and handed over to Sweden with a Nordic arrest warrant.
You might think this is all connected to Middle Eastern politics, but the authorities haven’t given the public any clear info on that front just yet. Intelligence services did suggest a possible link to Iran for the Stockholm shooting, but we're in the dark about whether that connection exists in the Copenhagen case.
Both suspects in the Danish case deny the charges against them, so let's not think this is all cut and dried just yet!
