15-Year-Old Flees on Scooter at 100 km/h from Police - Teen leads police on wild scooter chase before home arrest in Nienburg

A 15-year-old scooter driver led police on a high-speed chase through Nienburg before being arrested at his home. The incident, which occurred in early 2026, involved a passenger and resulted in minor damage to a police vehicle. Authorities have since launched criminal proceedings against the teen.

The chase began when the teenager refused to stop for police signals. Instead of pulling over, he accelerated, reaching speeds between 80 and 100 kilometres per hour. At one point, the scooter sideswiped a police car, causing slight damage to the squad vehicle.

During the pursuit, the teen managed to evade officers twice before eventually abandoning the scooter. Witnesses later reported seeing him park it before fleeing on foot. Police located the abandoned scooter shortly afterwards and seized it, along with the teen's driver's licence. Officers later tracked the 15-year-old to his home, where they made the arrest. As of March 2026, authorities have not released specific details about how the chase was documented or what further investigative steps were taken.

The teen now faces criminal charges following the incident. His scooter and licence remain in police custody. No additional information about the ongoing investigation has been made public.
