Teen Found Dead in Juárez, Mexico, Following Ransom Demand; Inquiry Ongoing
In Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, a tragic case of kidnapping and murder has been under investigation by local authorities. The victim, a 17-year-old girl identified by the initials D.C.LL.G., was reported missing from her home in New Mexico, United States, on July 16, 2025.
D.C.LL.G. had traveled to Ciudad Juarez to visit an acquaintance. Three days after her disappearance, her family received distressing messages via WhatsApp, demanding an economic payment in exchange for her freedom. However, on July 25, the body of a kidnapped minor was confirmed to have been discovered[1][2][3].
The Anti-Kidnapping Unit and the Specialized Unit for the Investigation of Homicides of Women Due to Gender Reasons have taken over the case. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the facts surrounding the kidnapping and murder[1][4].
During the initial review of a home located on Sierra Moncayo Street in the UrbiVilla del Cedro subdivision, signs of disturbed earth were observed in the patio[5]. The location of the discovery of the body was not specified.
The investigation has revealed that the cause of death was asphyxiation by strangulation[6]. The messages received by her family contained photos and videos of the girl[7]. At present, specific details about the suspects have not been publicly disclosed.
