Teen critically injured after falling from moving tram in Krasnodar
A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured after falling from the roof of a moving tram in Krasnodar. The incident happened late in the evening on Yevdokiya Bershanskaya Street. Authorities are now investigating how the teenager ended up on the tram in the first place.
The accident took place on February 25 at around 9:00 p.m. Emergency services rushed the boy to hospital with severe injuries. His current condition has not been publicly disclosed.
Tram surfing—riding on the outside of a moving tram—is widely recognised as an extremely dangerous activity. Falls from trams often result in life-changing disabilities or death. Despite the risks, no official records of similar incidents involving children in Russia have been reported by major sources like Rosstat or the Ministry of Transport in the past five years.
Local authorities have not yet released further details about the circumstances. The investigation remains ongoing.
The teenager's injuries highlight the severe consequences of tram surfing. While such cases appear rare in official records, the risks remain high. The outcome of the investigation may provide more clarity on how the incident occurred.
