16-Year-Old Drives Without a License - Car Overturns - Teen crashes grandfather's car in unauthorised joyride, injuring three

A 16-year-old student took his grandfather's Volkswagen Golf for an unauthorised nighttime drive in Neuburg-Schrobenhausen. The car veered off the road near Aresing, flipping into a field and leaving three teenagers injured. The driver, who had no licence, now faces multiple charges.

The incident occurred when the teenager, who had never taken a driving lesson, lost control of the vehicle. The Golf rolled over just before the entrance to Aresing, causing serious injuries to the driver and one passenger. A second passenger suffered minor wounds.

All three managed to escape the wreckage, but the driver remained at the scene. The other two passengers wandered off and were only found hours later by emergency crews. Police confirmed that alcohol or drugs were not involved, as tests returned negative results. The car sustained an estimated €5,000 in damage. Authorities have charged the driver with driving without a licence, endangering road traffic, and negligent bodily harm. The exact cause of the loss of control remains under investigation.

The teenager now faces legal consequences for the unauthorised joyride. The crash left one passenger seriously hurt, while the other suffered minor injuries. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
