Tech CEO resigns after Coldplay concert kiss cam scandal

A high-profile resignation followed a kiss cam incident at a Coldplay concert in July. Andy Byron, a tech CEO, stepped down just three days after the event. His HR director, Kristin Cabot, also left her position the following week.

The incident took place on July 16, when Byron and Cabot were caught on the stadium’s kiss cam embracing. The moment quickly drew attention, leading to Byron’s resignation on July 19. Cabot followed suit, submitting her own resignation days later.

By early November, Byron had finalised the sale of his $5.8 million Tribeca condo. The deal closed on November 6, only four months after the concert incident.

Both executives left their roles shortly after the public moment at the Coldplay show. The condo sale was completed within weeks of the incident, marking a swift financial move. No further details about the buyer or the transaction have been made public.
