Interview with DJ Alle Farben: "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work"

Single-handed endeavor is not an accurate description for this task. - "Teamwork is essential for completion"

Hailing from Germany, DJ Alle Farben, AKA Frans Zimmer, has ruled the music scene for over a decade. Despite the challenges and setbacks, his resilience and passion for music keep him going. In this exclusive interview with us, he opens up about his journey, the accident, and the future ahead. So buckle up, and let's dive into the world of Alle Farben!

How does it feel to reign in the music industry for more than a decade?

Alle Farben (grinning): It feels damn good, man! Music has been my life for 21 years, and 11 of those have been a rollercoaster ride of success. I'm grateful for every booking request, every big festival gig, and every partnership with major artists. It's not always easy, but I thrive on the challenge.

How do you stay grounded amidst all the success?

Alle Farben: I owe it to my incredible friends and team. They keep me humble and remind me that I'm not better than anyone else, no matter how successful I may seem. At the end of the day, I'm just a regular guy living an extraordinary life.

You've come a long way since your early days. How has your music evolved over the years?

Alle Farben: It's been a wild ride! I'm currently reviving my roots with my single "Flowers," working with the artist I collaborated with a decade ago - Graham Candy. It feels great to close this circle and return to my beginnings.

What about your personal growth? Have you changed significantly over the years?

Alle Farben: There have been ups and downs, but I've learned to embrace my journey. At first, I struggled to handle the fame, but now I'm living my dreams and doing what feels right.

Do you still get nervous before a performance?

Alle Farben: Absolutely! The excitement never dies, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've learned to deal with the nerves, though. I make sure to eat something a few hours before the show and remind myself to enjoy the moment.

Performances don't always go smoothly. How do you handle those mishaps?

Alle Farben: I'm a perfectionist, but I've learned to accept that I can't control everything. In those moments, I lean on my incredible team. Alle Farben is more than just a one-man show; it's a team effort.

As a public figure, how do you handle criticism?

Alle Farben: I try not to let it get to me, although there have been times when I found it difficult to read the news or browse social media. I've learned to filter out the negative and focus on the positivity, especially after my accident.

What about your collaborations? Do you have a favorite?

Alle Farben: Graham Candy is my go-to, but working with Pharrell Williams is a dream come true! Aside from music, I'm a big fan of cooking and even have a cooking channel. Who knows, maybe I'll collaborate with a chef next!

Your accident earlier this year was a major setback. How have you been since then?

Alle Farben: My friends, family, and team have been my rocks throughout this tough time. The support I've received has been overwhelming, and it's helped me to stay positive and focus on recovery.

What are you looking forward to most now that summer is approaching?

Alle Farben: I'm excited about the festival season, especially since it's my first time performing after my accident. I can't wait to see smiling faces and make music again.

Do you have any pre-performance rituals or routines?

Alle Farben: I trust my team to keep me hydrated and looking after me. I just focus on getting enough rest, food, and using the bathroom (laughs). The show must go on!

Are you more of a quiet introvert before a performance or a social butterfly?

Alle Farben: Definitely not calm! There's a live wire inside me before a performance that fuels my energy. I might be quieter, but I'm never serene.

What does the future hold for Alle Farben, both professionally and personally?

Alle Farben: I'd love to return to Asia, where I used to perform frequently before the pandemic. It's a place close to my heart, and I'd love to share my music there again. Meanwhile, I aim to continue living a fulfilling life, enjoying music and cooking, and cherishing every moment with my loved ones.
