In the Oymyakonsky District, post-flood recovery efforts are currently underway, with a team of 25 students from the North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU) lending a helping hand. These students are contributing to various restoration and support activities to aid the affected communities.

The students are involved in a range of tasks, including drying out buildings, dismantling damaged structures, and rebuilding foundations. Their efforts are aimed at restoring normalcy and supporting the local economy, particularly in sectors impacted by the flooding.

As part of the broader recovery strategy, agricultural work is also being carried out. On August 8, a team of 16 students will focus on haymaking across four uluses in six farms. This initiative is a crucial step towards revitalising the agricultural sector and providing much-needed support to the local economy.

Oleg Sergéchev, a representative from NEFU, has highlighted the students' prior experience in district restoration work. Last year, student teams were active in the Namsky District, and the year before, they worked in the Verkhoyansky District.

In addition to the agricultural work, another student road crew from NEFU's automotive faculty is working in various districts of the republic, including the Oymyakonsky District. This team, numbering around 90 people, is providing essential support services.

Recently, two tons of humanitarian aid were sent to the Oymyakonsky District from Yakutsk to further assist the recovery efforts.

For the most current information and official statements, checking recent local government or NEFU announcements is recommended.
