Hammer played host to the 53rd Hammer Spring Regatta, where DJK Ruhrwacht e.V.'s Canoe Racing Team demonstrated a strong performance. The team secured multiple podium finishes across various categories, with notable achievements from Yannick Glittenberg, Leif Thalhäuser, Klara Dix, Marie Luise Mitteldorf, and others.
Yannick Glittenberg clinched a triumphant victory in the Men's Single Kayak over 500m short distance, setting an impressive pace on the Datteln-Hamm Canal. He was honored with both the winner's plaque and an honorary trophy from the event organizers.
Leif Thalhäuser excelled in the Junior Men's category, qualifying for the final races in the 125m, 200m sprint, and 500m short distance events. Despite a strong start, he consistently placed second in each contest.
Klara Dix excelled in the U11 age group, earning a second-place finish overall in the multi-event competition. The competition comprised a 1200m endurance run, a 125m paddle sprint, and a 1000m long-distance event.

Klara Dix, racing in a combined team with WSV Rheine, secured another bronze medal in the Women's Four Kayak over 500m.

Philipp Kahse, Noah Deufel, Oskar Dix, and Julian Thiet were unable to qualify for the youth finals despite strong performances in the Single and Double Kayak events.
