The Bergischer HC (BHC) has announced its upcoming matches, with the team preparing for an exciting month ahead. The handball club will be competing in the German Handball Association (DHB) Cup first round, as well as several club matches.

On August 9th, the BHC will face TuS Ferndorf at the Sporthalle Nocken in Wuppertal-Vohwinkel. This will be a crucial match for the team, as both Lars Kooij and Nico Schöttle will be making their first appearances in their new team.

Sören Steinhaus, the new addition to the BHC, made a strong impact in his debut, scoring an impressive five goals to lead the team. However, the first half of the match against VfL was challenging, with the team struggling against a 5:1 defensive setup for the initial 15 minutes.

Despite some difficulties, the BHC managed to improve their chance creation before halftime. However, the team was unable to convert all opportunities, and the VfL capitalised on their mistakes to secure a win. Coach Markus Pütz acknowledged the team's performance, stating that while there were good phases, the defensive performance was different from the 2nd league.

Following the match against TuS Ferndorf, the BHC will face HSG Wetzlar on August 13th at 18:00. This match will be another important test for the team, as they prepare for their first competitive game against TSG A-H Bielefeld on August 16th at 18:00.

In addition to these matches, the BHC will also face Borussia Dortmund on July 30th at 16:00 UTC, and Frisch Auf Göppingen on August 22nd at 17:00 UTC. The exact date for the match against HSG Wetzlar is yet to be confirmed.

Coach Markus Pütz is confident in the team's abilities, stating that Sören Steinhaus, Lars Kooij, and Nico Schöttle will all be beneficial to the team. Despite the team's recent performance, Pütz believes there are still many tasks ahead for the BHC.
