The Women's 40 team of TC RW Emmerich, meanwhile, claimed a 6:3 win over Mettmanner Tennis- and Hockey Club in the 2nd Verbandsliga. Christina Plüggé outclassed her opponent 6:0, 6:4 at the top spot, while Katja Meenen and Christina Welmans met tough losses - 4:6, 4:6 and 6:7, 0:6 respectively. However, Patricia Schnickers, Anja Jansen-Raadts, and Elisabeth Schneider secured vital points for the team - 7:6, 6:3, 7:6, 4:6, 10:6, 6:3, 7:6, and 6:2, 7:5.

In doubles too, the Emmerich women widened their lead: Plüggé/Schnickers won 6:0, 6:1, while Meenen/Schneider narrowly lost 3:6, 6:4, 14:16. But Jansen-Raadts/Janneke Janssen sealed the deal with a 6:2, 7:5 triumph.
