Taylor Swift's Remarkable Global Concert Series Wrapping Up

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, spanning 149 shows across 51 cities, 21 countries, and 632 days from March 2023 to December 2024, has proven why she is arguably one of the best performers of our time. The tour, which stopped in Arizona for its first show and ended in Vancouver, Canada for its final show, was one of the biggest events to attend between 2023 and 2024.

The tour, named The Eras Tour, was created as a solution for Swift to perform songs from her albums Lover, Evermore, and Folklore, which she was unable to tour for previously. Swift delivered an amazing performance for her fans, playing a total of 44 to 46 songs from her entire discography for a duration of 3 hours and 15 minutes.

The concert was absolutely incredible to watch, with Swift running through her discography, playing 1-3 songs from each of her eras (except her debut album). The show after the 45-minute break opens with "Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince".

To keep each concert unique, Swift introduced surprise songs that vary by show and often appear as mashups. Some notable surprise songs include a mashup of "Sweeter Than Fiction" and "Holy Ground" performed in Amsterdam on July 6, 2025, and a more complex mashup in the same Amsterdam show combining "Mary’s Song (Oh My My My)", "So High School", and "Everything Has Changed."

In Indianapolis, she performed a mashup of "The Albatross" (from her album *The Tortured Poets Department*) and "Holy Ground" (from *Red (Taylor's Version)*). Another acoustic mashup from Indianapolis included "Cold As You" (from Taylor Swift's debut album) and "Exile" (from *Folklore*).

These surprise songs consist of Swift playing the guitar and piano, respectively, and playing a non-tracklist song or mashup. Swift has a set tracklist, but towards the end of each show she surprises the audience with two surprise songs, making each show a unique experience for attendees.

The cities where the tour stopped underwent changes in honor of the tour, including the installation of lights, special store promotions, and name changes. The openers for the tour were all highly talented and helped to set the stage for the main event, with acts such as Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Paramore, and Phoebe Bridgers performing for a 20-30 minute set before Swift took the stage.

While the Eras Tour regularly features over 40 songs, these surprise performances provide extra special moments specifically tailored for each location and date. Some sensitive songs like "Soon You'll Get Better" and "Ronan" are reportedly less likely to be performed on this tour due to their personal and emotional subject matter.

All five of these surprise songs have deep meanings to Swift and her entire fanbase, making them heartfelt and bittersweet. The Eras Tour showcases Swift's wide-ranging discography and musical styles including country, pop, folk, and alternative rock.
