Taylor Swift's Presence Lights Up Wittinger Summer Festival
The small town of Wittingen is set to come alive with the sound of music, laughter, and community spirit as the Wittingen Summer Festival returns from September 5th to 7th. This annual event, organised by HGV Wittingen, the city of Wittingen, and Party Production, promises a weekend of fun for all ages.
Kicking off the festivities on Friday evening at 5 PM, the festival will officially open with an address by HGV chairman Hartmut Zschumme. From 8 PM onwards, the Hit Radio Show will take over the stage, offering a program of energetic entertainment, hits from several decades, show acts, and live performances.
Saturday is a day focused on clubs and community activities. The volunteer fire department Wittingen will celebrate its 160th anniversary, inviting visitors to climb a ladder from 2 to 4 PM. The VCP Wittingen (Scouts) will present its new kindergarten group with small interactive activities on Saturday. The Braunschweig punk rock band Hot Filter will perform live at 6:30 PM, and at 10 PM, the Taylor Experience, a Taylor Swift tribute show, will take the stage.
For dance enthusiasts, a headphone party begins at midnight on both Friday and Saturday nights, offering three music channels, three styles, and an unforgettable experience.
On Sunday, visitors can enjoy a concert by the Jaeger Corps Knesebeck marching band at 4 PM and live performances by Hermans Dixie Express at 12:30 PM. A pirate interactive show for children takes place at 3 PM, adding a touch of magic to the day.
The festival grounds will feature a variety of attractions, including an auto-scooter, chain flyer, children's carousel, amusement booths, and new culinary specialties from Langosch to Diana's coffee. Food highlights include cheese and sausage specialties, HANGmates with burgers and Dutch specialties.
