Taylor Swift summoned in lawsuit involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni
Amidst a heated legal battle, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds flaunted their playful chemistry on the Time100 Gala red carpet.
Their friendly exterior contrasted sharply with the turmoil brewing behind the scenes, with Taylor Swift being called to testify in a heated disagreement stemming from the production of their film "It Ends With Us."
Swift has come under the spotlight due to a subpoena for her testimony, but her spokesperson maintains that her involvement in the 2024 film is limited to the licensing of her song "My Tears Ricochet," used in the movie's trailer and a single scene.
"Taylor Swift never set foot on the movie set, she was never involved in casting or creative decisions, she didn't score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes, and she didn't even see 'It Ends With Us' until weeks after its public release. She was traveling the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history," Swift's representative told our website Digital.

Swift's name has been drawn into the fray through the legal battle between Justin Baldoni and the couple. The "Jane the Virgin" star has accused Lively of sexual harassment during the filming of "It Ends With Us." However, Baldoni claims that Lively falsely accused him in an attempt to repair her reputation following the movie's press tour fallout after she allegedly took control of the film.
In order to support his claims of Lively's dominance over the film's production, Baldoni's legal team suggested that Lively had used her friendship with Swift to exert influence on him. While working on the film, Lively reportedly insisted on rewriting a crucial scene, which Baldoni was reluctant to accept.
However, this dynamic significantly changed during the course of the production, with Lively allegedly pressuring Baldoni to use her rewritten scene. Swift's representative emphasized that she had no part in the movie, save for licensing her song.
Lively and Baldoni have threatened to go head-to-head before a New York court in March 2026.
