Pop sensation Taylor Swift has announced her 12th studio album, titled 'The Life Of A Showgirl', which is set to release on October 3, 2025. The news was shared on Swift's website at 12:12 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
Swift's upcoming album marks a significant milestone in her illustrious career. According to Forbes estimates, Swift is worth $1.6 billion, making her the wealthiest female musician in the world.
The album's production is a collaboration between Swift, Max Martin, and Shellback. Swift's deal with Shamrock Capital gave her full ownership of her entire catalog, including the rights to the master recordings of her first six albums: "Taylor Swift," "Fearless," "Speak Now," "Red," "1989" and "Reputation."
Pre-orders for 'The Life of a Showgirl' are currently available on Swift's official website. Fans can choose from various physical formats such as CD with a poster (£11.99), cassette (£16.99), and vinyl (£29.99). There are also three limited release deluxe editions available for pre-order.
The initial shipping window for physical copies is noted as October 13, but the actual album release date remains October 3. The album cover art is yet to be revealed, but will be unveiled at a later date.
Swift revealed the new album during an appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce, former Philadelphia Eagles player. The podcast episode featuring Swift as a guest is set to release on Wednesday. A clip of the upcoming episode was shared on the podcast's official Instagram page with the caption "Taylor's about to do a f*cking podcast!"
This marks Swift's first album release since the end of her Eras Tour, which became the highest-grossing tour of all time, grossing a record $2 billion in ticket sales. Swift's social media team teased the album launch on Monday with a post on the official Taylor Nation account, featuring photos of Swift wearing orange-colored costumes.
Swift's eleventh album, "The Tortured Poets Department," registered 300 million streams in a single day and 1 billion streams in the first week on Spotify, breaking streaming records.
