Taylor Swift's highly anticipated album, "The Life of a Showgirl," is scheduled for release on October 3, 2025. The album, produced by Swift, Max Martin, and Shellback, will be available in various formats including CD, cassette, and vinyl LP.
The album was conceived during the European leg of Swift's 2024 Eras Tour. It features 12 tracks, including "The Fate of Ophelia," "Elizabeth Taylor," "Wi$h Li$t," and the title track "The Life of a Showgirl," which features Sabrina Carpenter.
The album's aesthetic and cover art, teased in a podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce, reflect Swift's continued tradition of cryptic teasers and Easter eggs for fans. Mert and Marcus provided cover art, Bob Mackie designed costumes, and Joseph Cassell handled wardrobe styling.
Pre-orders for "The Life of a Showgirl" are now available, including exclusive vinyl collections titled "The Life of a Showgirl: Baby, That's Show Business" which fans can purchase through Swift’s official website.
Meanwhile, during the airing of Swift's episode of "New Heights" on Wednesday, a glitch occurred that was attributed to the large number of viewers. Caitlin Clark, a star player for the Indiana Fever, was among the 1 million-plus viewers and had earlier predicted that YouTube might crash during the episode. The "New Heights" screen suddenly faded to black during the episode, and the official account wrote, "We hit a glitch but will be back shortly!!!".
Swift's friendship with Clark extended beyond the "New Heights" episode, as they also spent time together at a Chiefs game. Clark shared her thoughts about Swift on the "Swarmcast" podcast, expressing that they are both normal people who enjoy doing fun things.
