Freshly Brewed Crime Thriller: Rosalie Thomass Steps Up as "Tatort" Commissioner in Franconia

Franconia's New 'Tatort' Commissioner will be Thomas - Tator Commissionership Assignment for Thomas in Franconia

In a thrilling twist, actress Rosalie Thomass is gearing up to dive headfirst into the gritty world of crime-solving as Kriminalhauptkommissarin Emilia Rathgeber in the Franconia "Tatort". The 37-year-old will team up with Fabian Hinrichs (51) as Kriminalhauptkommissar Felix Voss starting July, according to the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR).

The dynamic duo takes over the crime scene after the departure of Dagmar Manzel. "I'm champing at the bit for this new adventure, and I can hardly wait to film some pulse-pounding episodes," Thomass shared about her exciting turn in the "Tatort". Her initial appearance will be in the twelfth case, with no airdate set as of now.

Born and bred in the bustling city of Munich in 1987, Thomass burst onto the scene in 2005 with her captivating role in the "Polizeiruf 110" crime drama "He Should Be Dead", directed by Dominik Graf. She has graced the big screen in Doris Dörrie's "Greetings from Fukushima" and Hans Steinbichler's "An Unheard Woman".

Rooted in Justice

"In her role as Hauptkommissarin Emilia Rathgeber, she brings to life an investigator with deep roots that run as far as her unyielding passion for justice. Her vitality is certainly a win for everyone," BR program director Bettina Ricklefs said.

For years, Dagmar Manzel as Hauptkommissarin Paula Ringelhahn and Fabian Hinrichs as Felix Voss have been locking horns with the criminal underworld in the Franconia "Tatort". Manzel's stint ended with the tenth episode last October. But fear not, as Hinrichs will continue his solitary pursuit of justice in the upcoming eleventh "Tatort" from Franconia, titled "I See You".

A Closer Look at "I See You"

While there seems to be no official "Tatort" episode titled "I See You" featuring Rosalie Thomass, Fabian Hinrichs, and Dagmar Manzel as the main cast, they have both appeared in various episodes. If there's a specific episode in mind, or if there's a possible confusion with another title, more details (such as the original German title or air date) would be helpful, as there's no record of "I See You" in the noted cast.

Recent "Tatort" episodes have tackled a plethora of contemporary issues, such as violent demonstrations, political extremism, and the hatred of the state, but these elements seem unrelated to the main cast or the plot. "Tatort's" distinctive structure revolves around investigating homicides and crimes, subtly weaving in social commentary and regional cultural elements.

The Commission, in light of Rosalie Thomass' new role as Kriminalhauptkommissarin Emilia Rathgeber in "Tatort", has also been asked to submit a proposal for a directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation. After a day of filming pulse-pounding crime scenes, one might unwind by watching movies-and-tv in the entertainment industry, offering a stark contrast to the gritty realities of crime-solving.
