Get ready, folks! Rosalie Thomass, a 37-year-old powerhouse actress hailing from Munich, is set to join the investigative team in the Franconia "Tatort" starting in July. She'll be partnering up with veteran Fabian Hinrichs (51), according to the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR). This fantastic duo will take over after Dagmar Manzel's departure.
Thomass can't contain her excitement about her new gig, saying, "I'm pumped for this new challenge, and I'm stoked about creating some top-notch flicks – because the 'Tatort' from Franconia's all about excellent film quality as far as I'm concerned!" Her debut will debut in the 12th "Tatort" case, with a release date yet to be determined.
Born in Munich on August 14, 1987, this gal made her mark in the "Polizeiruf 110" crime flick "He Should Die" back in 2005, under the direction of Dominik Graf. She's also graced the silver screen in Doris Dörrie's "Greetings from Fukushima" and Hans Steinbichler's "An Unheard Woman."
Gritty Investigator
"Rosalie embodies an investigator with deep roots and an untamed passion for justice – she's pure excitement, and everyone's gonna benefit from her energy as main commissioner Emilia Rathgeber," said Bettina Ricklefs, the BR program director.
In the Franconia "Tatort," Dagmar Manzel, Paula Ringelhahn, and Fabian Hinrichs' Felix Voss were the dynamic duo for years. Manzel (66) said her final goodbyes with the tenth episode last October.
In the eleventh "Tatort" from Franconia, titled "I See You," Hinrichs will initially tackle cases alone – with the support of Eli Wasserscheid's Wanda Goldwasser by his side. This thrilling episode is slated to air in the fall.
