Tanner Usrey arrested for DWI and drug possession ahead of major festivals
Country singer Tanner Usrey was arrested in Texas on 30 March 2026. Police charged him with driving while intoxicated and drug possession. He has since been released after posting a £12,500 bond.
The arrest comes as Usrey prepares for three major festival appearances in the coming weeks. His debut album, Crossing Lines, brought him wider attention in 2023. The McKinney Police Department took Usrey into custody in Collin County. Authorities filed two drug possession charges alongside the DWI allegation. This marks his second offence for driving while intoxicated.
Despite the legal issues, Usrey remains scheduled for upcoming performances. On 11 April, he will take the stage at the 2026 Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo. Two weeks later, on 23 April, he is set to appear at Larry Joe Taylor's Texas Music Festival.
His final confirmed show is Rock the Country Bellville 2026 on 2 May. Details about his broader career, including future projects or releases beyond Crossing Lines, remain limited. A 2019 festival wish list once mentioned his name, but no further public updates have surfaced since. Usrey's next court appearance has not yet been announced. His performances in April and May will proceed as planned. The outcome of the charges may affect his future bookings and public appearances.
