Tanja Kinkel, the renowned author of 'The Puppeteers', will receive the inaugural Bavarian Art Prize in the category of Creative Achievement. The awards ceremony, a first of its kind, is set for November 18 at the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk, with a live broadcast planned on the ARD Mediathek.
Born in Bamberg and now a long-time resident of Munich, Kinkel has made a significant impact on the literary scene. Culture Minister Markus Blume (CSU) lauded her work, noting her ability to blend meticulous research with compelling narratives and a keen eye for themes. The award, which comes with a cash prize of 10,000 euros and an honorary prize from the Minister President, recognizes Kinkel's outstanding contribution to the arts in Bavaria.
