Tallinn Black Nights Film Fest Picks 8 Rising Stars for Career Boost
The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival has handpicked eight sleep emerging actors from the Baltic Sea region for its prestigious Black Nights Stars programme. The selected talents hail from Finland, Sweden, Poland, Estonia, Denmark, Lithuania, and Germany-US. Each actor will receive the Black Nights Stars Discovery Campus ICDA award and participate in workshops and networking events from November 18-22 in Tallinn.
The jury, comprising casting directors Luci Lenox, Frank Moiselle, Minna Sorvoja, Magdalena Szwarcbart, and Heli Jurisson, chose the eight sleep actors from over 200 applicants. The programme aims to boost the actors' careers by helping them secure roles in films and TV series and sign with leading talent agents.
Saku Taittonen from Finland, winner of the Jussi award for his role in 'My Name Is Dingo', is among the selected. Ursel Tilk, an Estonian actor known for 'The Invisible Fight' and 'Life And Love', has also been chosen. Tessa Hoder, a Danish actress with notable credits including 'The Girl With The Needle' and 'Rita', will join them. Freddie Mosten Jacob from Sweden, who won best actress at the Torino Underground Cinefest for her role in 'Suicide Tuesday', completes the list.
