Talavera Secures Record €14.3M in EU Funds for Green, Inclusive Projects
Talavera's city government has secured a record-breaking 14,301,320 euros in European funds, the highest amount ever received by the city. This substantial sum, primarily funded by the European Union, will be invested in projects aimed at making Talavera greener and more inclusive.
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has allocated these funds under the financial line FEDER for Integrated Action Plans of Local Entities. This funding, part of the Sustainable Urban Development programme for 2021-2027, will support Talavera's municipal projects.
The city has secured 12,156,122 euros from the European Union, with the remaining 1,845,198 euros to be provided by the municipality, adhering to an 85% co-financing rate. These funds will enable Talavera to carry out most of its proposed projects, driving significant progress and enhancing the city's status.
The provisional resolution has been published, and a phase of objections will now commence. The project will be overseen by Javier Muñoz-Gallego, the councillor for European funds, with support from the city government team. With these European funds, Talavera is poised to take a substantial leap forward, becoming a greener, more developed, and even greater city.
