Ukrainian gymnast Taisiia Onofriichuk steals the show in Baku 🏅🇦🇿

Taisiia Onofriichuk, a rising star in rhythmic gymnastics, just scored two gold medals at the European Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan. The 16-year-old Ukrainian athlete left her competitors, from Italy and Bulgaria, in the dust with her stunning performances.

Onofriichuk's score for the performance with clubs was an impressive 28.300 points, and she outscored her Ukrainian compatriot Polina Karika by more than a full point with the ribbon, reaching 28.450 points. Karika finished in 5th place with 26.750 points.

Both Onofriichuk and Karika qualified for the cross-battle based on their combined scores from all four exercises.

On 1st May, Taisiia already won a gold medal in a performance with a hoop, and she also bagged a bronze medal with a ball. The Rhythmic Gymnastics European Cup had kicked off in Baku on 20th April, where Onofriichuk not only secured a brilliant victory but also made a principled stand by refusing to be photographed with a Russian athlete.
