Tadej Pogacar: A Look Ahead at His Racing Plans

Tadej Pogacar, the Slovenian cycling sensation, is taking a well-deserved break at home after his historic fifth win at the Tour de France. However, the cycling world eagerly awaits news about his future racing plans, particularly for the 2025-2028 seasons.

Despite a lack of specific details in the public domain, Pogacar has expressed his intentions to defend his titles in significant races. These include the European championship in southern France on October 5, the world title in Rwanda, and the Vuelta a España.

Pogacar has also shown interest in one-day races such as Milan-San Remo and Paris-Roubaix. He might limit his participation in these events to just five or six major races before wrapping up his season.

The Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and Montreál are on Pogacar's radar for the late summer, and he has hinted at a competitive battle with Jhonathan Narvaez. His commitment to the European Championship might affect his participation in other Italian Classics, excluding Lombardia.

Pogacar believes that the European Championship this year will be more suited to climbers, similar to one of the spring races Juan Ayuso won this year. He has expressed a preference for Montreál but is also aiming to win in the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec.

As for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, Pogacar has hinted that he may start thinking about retirement after this event. He is determined to enjoy the moment and is prepared for the end of his career.

Pogacar began racing at the WorldTour level in 2019 at the age of 20 and has since won over a hundred races. His most recent victory was a local criterium in Komenda, Slovenia, ahead of Luka Mezgec and Matteo Trentin.

Pogacar's contract with UAE Team Emirates-XRG extends until 2030, ensuring that cycling fans have much to look forward to in the coming years. As always, official announcements and interviews will provide the most reliable insights into Pogacar's racing plans and objectives.
