Swiss women’s hockey team unveils 2026 Olympic roster with eight debutantes

The Swiss women’s national hockey team has revealed its 23-player roster for the 2026 Winter Olympics. Eight athletes will make their Olympic debut when the tournament kicks off in February. The squad, led by head coach Colin Muller, includes a mix of experienced stars and fresh talent.

Head coach Colin Muller finalised the team on Wednesday. Among the selections, goaltender Andrea Brändli and defenders Shannon Sigrist and Stefanie Wetli will compete in their third Olympics. Captain Lara Stalder and forward Alina Müller, both entering their fourth Games, bring the most experience to the squad.

Switzerland’s campaign begins on February 6, 2026, with a match against the Czech Republic. The team, currently ranked fifth in the world, has been drawn into Group A for the tournament. All of Switzerland’s games will be broadcast live by Swiss broadcaster SRF. While the full list of debutantes was not disclosed, the roster features a blend of seasoned players and newcomers. The team aims to build on its global ranking as it prepares for the Olympic challenge.

The Swiss women’s hockey team now turns its focus to final preparations before the February opener. With a mix of Olympic veterans and first-time participants, the squad will look to make an impact in Group A. Fans can catch every match live on SRF as the tournament unfolds.
