Swiss woman, 25, killed in shark attack while camping in Australia

A 25-year-old Swiss woman, Livia Mühlheim, has died after a shark attack at a remote beach in New South Wales. The incident occurred on Thursday morning, just hours after she and her boyfriend arrived at their camping site on the Mid North Coast. Emergency services were unable to reach her in time to save her life.

Mühlheim was swimming at Kylies Beach when a three-metre shark attacked her. Moments before, she had been filming herself with dolphins on a GoPro camera. Her boyfriend, Lukas Schindler, fought off the shark by punching it repeatedly before dragging her back to shore.

The attack has left one woman dead and her boyfriend severely injured. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, with authorities examining footage and searching for the shark. The couple had only arrived at the camping site late on Wednesday night, making the tragedy even more sudden.
