Swiss stars shine at World Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń

Swiss athletes delivered strong performances at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń. Audrey Werro and Angelica Moser both stood on the podium, while Ditaji Kambundji narrowly missed a medal in a thrilling finish.

Audrey Werro claimed silver in the women's 800 meters, setting a new Swiss record of 1:56.64. Her time secured her place as the second-fastest in the country's history for the event.

Angelica Moser earned bronze in the pole vault after clearing 4.70 meters on her first attempt. The height proved enough to secure her spot on the podium. Meanwhile, Ditaji Kambundji finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles. She missed the bronze medal by just two hundredths of a second, ending in a tight race where margins were razor-thin.

The championships saw Switzerland collect two medals, with Werro and Moser both reaching the podium. Kambundji's near-miss added to the drama of the event, highlighting the high level of competition in Toruń.
