Swiss Giant Bartholet to Turn East Kazakhstan Into a World-Class Ski Hub

Swiss tourism giant Bartholet is set to transform East Kazakhstan into a global skiing hotspot. The company plans to develop premier alpine skiing destinations in the region, starting with Ridder and Katon-Karagay.

Bartholet will invest in both locations, aiming to make the region a year-round skiing destination. In Ridder, the Anatau ski resort will feature modern cable cars connecting the slopes of the Altai Alps. It will operate for eight months each year, with summer recreation and entertainment programs filling the remaining time. The snow quality in Katon-Karagay is exceptional, eliminating the need for artificial snow. Bartholet plans to extend its developments to Katon-Karagay after Ridder.

Construction in Ridder is set to begin next summer, provided permits are processed by the end of this year. Bartholet aims to start construction as soon as possible, with the potential to reach a new level of tourism in the region within two to three years.

Bartholet's plans for East Kazakhstan could significantly boost the region's tourism potential. The development of premier alpine skiing destinations in Ridder and Katon-Karagay, starting with Ridder's Anatau ski resort, is expected to attract global attention and visitors.
