Swiss comedy legends Divertimento announce their final tour—*Bucketlist*—but is this really goodbye?
Swiss comedy duo Divertimento is bringing their long-running partnership to a close. Manu Burkart and Jonny Fischer have announced their final tour, Bucketlist, marking the end of their popular act. The pair, known for their energetic and often absurd performances, leave fans wondering if this is truly the last curtain call—or just another farewell in a long line of comebacks.
The duo, also called Di-Fertig-Mento by fans, revealed their plans about a week ago. Their last programme, Bucketlist, will feature the kind of chaotic humour they’re famous for—including moments where Burkart twerks on stage while Fischer ends up on all fours. Yet, like other legendary acts such as Howard Carpendale or Kiss, questions remain about whether this is a permanent goodbye or just another pause.
Beyond the stage, Burkart has kept busy with other projects. He recently appeared in the TV series Hüttengeschichten, where he shared his experience hiking with his 12-year-old daughter, Alya. The trip wasn’t without its challenges: Burkart admitted to having little knowledge of mountain geography, struggling to name passes and peaks along the way. Meanwhile, his daughter described him as ‘uh, embarrassing’—a typical teenage reaction to a parent’s antics. Offstage, Burkart has also turned his attention to serious topics. His talk Deep the Fire tackles modern issues like smartphone addiction and the impact of social media. Despite this shift, he and Fischer have not ruled out future performances entirely. For now, though, the Bucketlist tour stands as their final scheduled show—at least officially.
The farewell tour leaves fans with mixed emotions. While Burkart and Fischer have not completely shut the door on future performances, Bucketlist marks the end of an era for Divertimento. Their blend of humour, energy, and occasional absurdity has made them a staple in Swiss comedy for years. What comes next remains uncertain, but their legacy is already well established.
