Johnson County Fair Returns for an Exciting Week in July
Get ready for an exciting week as the Johnson County Fair returns from July 19 to July 23, 2025, in Johnson County, Iowa. This year's fair promises a variety of events, including livestock shows, entertainment acts, exhibits, and carnival activities.
On July 19, the fair kicks off with the arrival of livestock, such as swine, beef, sheep, and goats. The day also features the Dairy Cattle Show at 11 a.m., a Mind Mentalist, and a host of entertainment throughout the day. Ongoing events include the ISU Ag-tivity Booth, Iowa Corn Trailer, Mechanical Bull, Carnival (4–10 p.m.), and roaming entertainer Hillbilly Bob.
4-H & FFA Exhibits will be on display from July 19, with various 4-H competitions taking place during the fair. Evening events include the poultry pageant, beer garden, tractor pulls, and color guard ceremonies.
On Wednesday, the Swine Show is scheduled for the evening in the Show Ring. The day will also see a movie sponsored by the Junior Leaders conclude the events. The Saddle Tramps Band will perform in the evening.
Thursday is designated as Beef Day at the fair, with a range of events centered around cattle.
