Swimming Classes for Kids Prove a Hit in Wartberg
In the heart of Pforzheim, the Sports Association Pforzheim Enzkreis e.V. and the Wartbergbad Support Association Pforzheim WFP e.V. hosted successful children's swimming courses during the summer holidays, with an impressive total of 130 children learning to swim or improving their swimming skills.
The demand for children's swimming courses in the primary school age group remains high, with many parents grateful to secure a spot due to long waiting lists at local swimming sports clubs. The courses, held at Wartbergbad, were conducted despite unfavourable weather conditions in August, with many children persevering to complete the courses.
The 'Seahorse' swimming badge was awarded to children who successfully completed the course, with some earning the badge after just three weeks. Each child who participated received a certificate, stickers, and a T-shirt from WFP e.V. as a token of appreciation.
Adult non-swimmers were also offered courses, providing an opportunity for all to learn and improve their swimming skills. Selina Nauheimer from the Sports Association and Christof Weisenbacher from WFP e.V. expressed their gratitude towards the instructors for their dedication and hard work in making the courses a success.
Though specific details about the number of participants in the summer courses and the high demand for courses were not provided, it is clear that the initiative has been well-received by the community.
