Germany Braces for Mild and Warm Weather with No Significant Thunderstorms or Heat Stress
The new week is set to bring summer-like weather to Germany, with temperatures expected to remain mild to warm in the coming days.
According to the latest forecast, high temperatures will range between 21°C and 29°C across various regions. Düsseldorf and Wertheim are expected to reach around 29°C on August 19 and 20, followed by a decrease to 24–21°C by August 23. Berlin is predicted to have moderate temperatures, around 27°C on August 19, with similar conditions assumed for the following days.
While thunderstorms and rain chances are mostly low, localized light precipitation is possible in some areas. Düsseldorf shows no thunderstorms expected over the coming days, and no substantial precipitation or thunderstorm risk is indicated for other regions. However, the risk of thunderstorms is set to significantly increase on Friday, according to current forecasts.
Heat stress conditions are unlikely, as temperatures will remain below 30°C, with lows around 12–15°C. Humidity ranges are moderate without being excessively high, reducing the likelihood of combined heat and humidity stress.
On Tuesday, the highest values will reach 30 to 36 degrees, with perfect bathing weather expected during the day. On Wednesday, sweaty temperatures of 31 to 38 degrees are expected, with a risk of strong heat stress in the southwestern half.
Towards the north, there will be some cloud fields, and the night from Thursday to Friday will be very mild, especially in the western half of Germany, with some places experiencing a tropical night, with temperatures not dropping below 20 degrees.
As always, it's advised to monitor local updates for any sudden changes. Stay informed and enjoy the summer weather!
