Crown Princess at the Air Force - Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria completes fighter jet training mission

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden has taken another step in her military career by completing a training flight with the Norrbotten Air Wing in Luleå. The eldest daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, and heir to the throne, has been undergoing rigorous officer training across Sweden’s armed forces.

The Crown Princess recently joined a formation of four aircraft, where she helped defend Swedish bridges against simulated enemy planes. Footage and images from the flight were later shared on the royal household’s official Instagram account. Observers noted her sharp focus and admiration for the fighter jet’s tactics and teamwork.

The Crown Princess’s ongoing military training reflects her commitment to Sweden’s defence capabilities. With her Army instruction set to finish by late 2026, she will have completed a comprehensive programme across all three branches of the armed forces. The collaboration with Germany further highlights the importance of international defence cooperation in her development.
