A SWAT operation unfolded in Lindhorst after reports of gunfire from an apartment building. Police responded quickly, but a rain-related crash left two officers stranded. An unexpected helper soon stepped in to get them to the scene.

The incident began when calls reported shots fired from a balcony in Lindhorst. A SWAT team was deployed, and two officers were en route in their patrol car. On the rain-soaked roads near Stadthagen, their vehicle skidded and became undriveable. Both officers, including the operation commander, escaped without injury.

The arrested man now faces further assessment while in custody. The officers resumed their duties after the Good Samaritan’s intervention. Authorities have not released additional details about the ongoing investigation.
