Preparing the Deck for the 2025/26 Season: The WSV Tackle

Head coach Gaetano Manno has a tasty new addition to his lineup with the arrival of young center back, Salmin Rebronja. Known for his raw talent, fierce duels, and solid passing, Rebronja is just hitting his stride at the tender age of 20, packing a solid punch for a season with the West Siders. His extensive experience, even at such a young age, has Manno smiling ear-to-ear, thrilled to have the bloke on board.

"I'm stoked to be here now and take the field in front of the fans," Rebronja shares with a grin. "I'll give it my all in every game and leave my bloody heart on the pitch. I'm gunning for a spectacular season, with the supporters backing us all the way."

Born and raised in Iserlohn, Rebronja's football journey kicked off with FC Iserlohn and SC Paderborn in his youth. Stepping into the senior ranks for SV Lippstadt, he soon caught the attention of the big boys. In the summer of 2024, he made his way to Dortmund, donning the jersey for 19 games before his exit. Unfortunately, he missed both encounters against WSV.

With two slots remaining, Rebronja's been joined by a couple of new Red-Blues additions. Expect a striker and a center back to fill those gaps, with the former set to be announced before training commences on June 18, 3 pm, on Oberbergische Straße.
