Sverdlovsk Oblast raises pensions for 114,000 residents in April 2025

Pension payments in Sverdlovsk Oblast have risen this month, benefiting over 114,000 residents. The increase follows an automatic adjustment based on last year's higher subsistence minimum for pensioners. Recipients will get the updated amounts through banks, post offices, or home delivery at different dates in April. The adjustment applies to various types of pensions, including old-age insurance, social, and state-provided payments. Insurance pensions now require at least 15 years of contributions and 30 pension points. In 2025 alone, more than 15,000 people in the region began receiving old-age insurance pensions.

Early retirement remains an option for certain groups. Healthcare workers, educators, and those in hazardous jobs can retire sooner. So can large families, parents of disabled children, and cultural workers. Long-serving employees—women with 37 years of work and men with 42—also qualify. Social pensions support those without enough insurance history, people with disabilities, and families who have lost their main earner. State pensions cover veterans, siege survivors, conscripts, and those affected by radiation disasters. Periods like childcare, military service, or caring for a disabled person count toward pension points. Next year, the old-age pension age will apply to women born in 1967 and men born in 1962. The new payments arrive on the 13th and 23rd via banks, while postal and home deliveries start from April 3.

The pension increase affects 114,366 people in Sverdlovsk Oblast this month. Payments are being distributed through multiple channels, ensuring wider access. The changes reflect ongoing adjustments to support pensioners' living standards in the region.
