SV Wehen Wiesbaden Parts Ways with Coach Döring Amid Poor Results

SV Wehen Wiesbaden has parted ways with head coach Nils Döring after a series of disappointing results in the Third Division. Uwe Stöver, director of sport, stressed the difficulty of the decision but emphasised the need for fresh energy in the team.

Döring, a long-serving member of the club, had been involved for over a decade as a player, official, and head coach. The club is now in a transitional phase and will carefully assess who should take permanent charge. Assistant coaches Frank Steinmetz and Giuliano Modica will temporarily lead the first team. The coming weeks are crucial for SV Wehen Wiesbaden as they aim to turn their season around and give their supporters something to celebrate.

The search for a permanent head coach is ongoing. While Alemannia Aachen is preparing for their game against SV Wehen Wiesbaden with interim coaches, they have defined a profile for their own coaching vacancy. SV Wehen Wiesbaden, however, has not publicly named any specific candidates for their role yet.
