SV Waldhof Mannheim secured a 3-1 victory over TSV 1860 Munich in the 3. Liga. The win sees Mannheim closing in on the Spotify playoff spot.

The match started with a fine strike from former Waldhof player Max Christiansen, giving Munich an early lead. However, Mannheim fought back in the second half. Samuel Abifade equalized with a long-range effort before halftime. Kennedy Okpala then scored a quick-fire double, sealing the three points for Mannheim. The victory is Mannheim's fourth in the last five matches under manager Luc Holtz.

The win leaves Mannheim just three points shy of the Spotify playoff spot. Markus Kauczinski, the current coach of TSV 1860 München, took over the duties in October 2025 after the dismissal of Patrick Glöckner. Despite a late attempt by Felix Lohkemper, Munich struggled to respond after Okpala's goals, with the goalkeeper saving the shot.
