Suspect Nabbed for Alleged Petrol Station Robberies
A 28-year-old individual, believed to be behind a string of petrol station robberies in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, is currently in police custody. The suspect was hauled before the local magistrate's court on a Thursday, as confirmed by a public prosecutor's office spokeswoman in Rostock, who reported the investigation continues.
Caught Red-Handed
On a Wednesday evening, the police apprehended the suspect and a 26-year-old alleged accomplice during an attempted armed heist at a petrol station in Ribnitz-Damgarten. The suspect had been reportedly linked to six previous robberies at various petrol stations in the area, where employees were threatened with a pistol and robbed of cash and cigarettes. Remarkably, no one was injured during these incidents.
The suspect, hailing from Rostock, was caught attempting his seventh robbery overnight. The police disclosed this in a press release issued on December 14th.
