Caught on the eve of activist Sergei Sternenko's alleged attack, a suspect faces charges of treason and attempted murder, and will decide on a preventative measure on May 2.

According to the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the suspect is under the guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, being accused of treason and attempted murder (part 2 of article 111, article 15, paragraphs 6, 11, 12 of part 2 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

On May 2, the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv will consider the petition for the choice of a preventive measure for the accused. As reported by "Ukrainian Truth", the attacker on Sternenko originates from Odessa region but is registered and resides in Kyiv.

The alleged attacker rented an apartment in a residential complex in Kyiv, where Sternenko (born in 1979) resides, and conducted visual surveillance. Reportedly, she received funds for the attack from Russian special services to her bank accounts.
