Suspected Killers of Ex-Pastor Apprehended in Romania - Police Hunt for Additional Witnesses to Aid Investigation

In the heart of Berlin, the 6th Homicide Commission is currently investigating the tragic death of Reinhold Zuber, a 77-year-old former pastor. The victim was found unresponsive in his apartment on Thomasiusstraße 5, Moabit, on July 4, 2020.

Upon entering the apartment, firefighters discovered the scene suggested foul play. An autopsy conducted on July 6, 2020, revealed that Zuber was indeed a victim of a homicide.

The police are now seeking the public's help in this matter. They have released a picture of the victim and are asking anyone who knew Zuber or can provide details about his environment to come forward. The police are also interested in any suspicious observations made in the vicinity of Thomasiusstraße 5, Moabit, during the time frame of last Tuesday or Wednesday (30.06. / 01.07.2020).

The arrests of two suspects, aged 20 and 24, associated with Zuber's circle, were made in Romania on August 21, 2020, following investigations by the 6th Homicide Commission and the Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office. The police are continuing investigations, including into any other possible suspects.

The victim's co-tenants had not seen Zuber for several days before the police were called to the apartment on July 5, 2020. The police are asking for the public's help in this ongoing investigation and have provided several ways to submit tips.
