In a series of shocking events, Austin Robert Drummond, a 28-year-old convicted felon with alleged ties to a violent street gang, has been arrested in connection with the murder of four family members and the subsequent abandonment of their baby in a car seat.

The manhunt for Drummond began on July 29, after the baby was found abandoned in a front yard near Tigrett. The four victims, identified as James M. Wilson, 21; Adrianna Williams, 20; Cortney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams, 15, were found dead in Tiptonville, Tennessee, later that day. Wilson and Adrianna Williams were the infant’s parents, and Rose was Adrianna and Braydon Williams’ mother.

Drummond, who was out on bail after being charged with trying to kill someone while he was incarcerated, was wanted for four counts of first-degree murder, one count of aggravated kidnapping, and weapons offenses related to the killings. He was arrested on Tuesday morning in a wooded area in Jackson, Tennessee, at 9:05 a.m., following multiple calls of sightings.

Three individuals were arrested during the manhunt for Drummond. Tanaka Brown, who was also charged with tampering with evidence, and Giovontie Thomas were taken into custody. Brown was booked into Lake County Jail, while Thomas was in custody on an unrelated charge.

The baby daughter of Wilson and Adrianna Williams, who was found abandoned in a car seat near Tigrett, is approximately 7 months old and is reported to be safe and healthy.

Drummond's criminal history dates back to July 2013 when he robbed a Circle K convenience store in Jackson at gunpoint. He was convicted in 2014 of aggravated robbery and sentenced to 10 years in prison. After his release from Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville in September 2024, having served just under 11 years, Drummond faced charges relating to his time in prison, including an arrest on drug charges the same day he was released, and a later attempted murder charge.

The father of James M. Wilson expressed his grief, stating that Wilson was a good young man and an exceptional father. The baby's family is currently working through this difficult time, seeking justice for the tragic loss of their loved ones.

Drummond has connections to the Vice Lords gang, a gang known for involvement in murder, drug trafficking, and other violent crimes, with members throughout Tennessee. The authorities believe that the killings were a targeted attack by Drummond, who had a relationship with the family.

This case is still under investigation, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
