It's been a few days since a teacher working across several communes in Indre-et-Loire was formally charged and imprisoned for alleged sexual misconduct towards his students. The Tours prosecutor's office confirmed the news on June 27, 2025.
Originating from Germany and residing in Chinon, the suspect has been working in the communes of Saché, Montlouis-sur-Loire, and Ligré. His arrest occurred at his home on June 25, and he was escorted to the Tours prosecutor's office before being charged and taken into custody later that day.
A Long-Running Investigation
Investigations into such disturbing allegations began back in March 2025, following reports of corruption and sexual assault by a person in authority position towards minors. The public prosecutor of Tours, Catherine Sorita-Minard, mentioned numerous witness and minor victim interviews as part of the investigation, as well as the seizure and partial analysis of computer equipment.
