Suspect detained on allegations of homicide following fatal house fire that claimed lives of a woman and her trio of offspring
In Brent, northwest London, a quadruple fatality has occurred as a result of a house fire on Tillett Close, Stonebridge, near Wembley. Metropolitan Police officers were called to the scene shortly after 1.20 am to assist firefighters.
A 43-year-old mother and her three children, aged 15, 8, and 4, lost their lives in the blaze, according to the police force. The victims' next of kin have been informed. The conditions of two other individuals hospitalized are yet to be announced. A 41-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.

A neighbour who wished to remain anonymous claimed it was a sad event and that it was difficult to process. Eight fire engines and approximately 60 firefighters responded to the fire, according to the London Fire Brigade (LFB). Two adjoining terrace houses, each with three floors, suffered severe damages, stated the LFB.
The LFB rescue team managed to free the woman and one child from the second floor; however, both were later declared deceased at the scene. The two other children were found inside the property and were equally confirmed dead.
LFB assistant commissioner Keeley Foster said that upon arrival, firefighters faced a well-developed fire. The incident resulted in the tragic loss of a woman and her three children.
The London Ambulance Service reportedly deployed an air ambulance, incident response officers, advanced paramedics, and a hazardous area response team.
Superintendent Steve Allen, from the Met's local policing team in northwest London, conveyed his condolences and stated that detectives from the Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident and collaborating with the LFB to identify the cause of the fire.
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, extended his sympathies to the affected family, friends, and community, stating that he remains in close contact with the LFB and Metropolitan Police.
Local Labour MP for Brent East, Dawn Butler, expressed concern about the tragic fire and offered support to the affected families and community.
