"Suspect apprehended for alleged attempt on Charlie Kirk's life, following tip-off from the family"
In a shocking turn of events, political activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old former student of the university, has been arrested and charged with aggravated murder, among other charges.
Authorities were able to track the movements of the shooter, who arrived on campus at 11:52 a.m. Surveillance footage showed the shooter jumping off the roof and fleeing the scene. Robinson was later turned in by family members.

A high-powered, bolt-action rifle was recovered in the woods near the scene of the shooting. Engravings on three unfired casings were found, one of which said, 'Hey, fascist! Catch!' with various arrows, another saying, 'Oh bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao,' and the third saying, 'If you read this, you are gay LMAO.' An inscription on the fired casing said: 'notices, bulges, OWO, what's this?'
Donald Trump, during an appearance on 'Fox & Friends,' stated that the suspect was in custody with a high degree of certainty and that someone very close to him turned him in. Trump also announced during his appearance at the 9/11 memorial event in New York City that he will posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Mike Cox, the district attorney, signaled on Thursday that he would seek the death penalty for the shooter. Cox asked the public not to spread the gruesome video of Kirk's murder on social media.
In a strange twist, it was revealed that Vance and his wife, Usha, escorted Charlie Kirk's casket and his family on Air Force Two from Utah to Arizona on Thursday. The connection between Vance and the victim is yet to be disclosed.
Robinson attended Utah State University for one semester in 2021. Robert Bohls, special agent in charge of the FBI's Salt Lake City field office, stated that footwear impressions, a palm print, and forearm imprints found at the scene would be analyzed by the FBI.
